About GMN Headstart
GMN Tri-County CAC Inc. Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide comprehensive services to low income children ages birth through age five years and, pregnant women. Services are provided without charge to the family. Head Start and Early Head Start services promote school readiness that will continue to make a positive impact as the children enter into public school and grow into adulthood. \ \ Family Engagement is encouraged in both the HS and EHS Programs. Families can be involved in decision making by participating in Policy Council and parent meetings. HS/EHS also offers a variety of opportunities for parents to be involved in special events with their child by participating in Fatherhood and Mommy and Me events during the school year. \ \ Children will get nutritious and well balanced meals and snacks while attending the program with no charge to families. Many classes are self-transport, although the programs do offer bus transportation for specific classes. \ \ GMN Head Start (ages three to five years) offers center-based services in Guernsey, Noble and Monroe counties in Ohio. The different options offered are based on the needs of the community. Currently in Guernsey County we offer: 3.5 hour classes for four days a week, six hour classes for four days a week and seven hour classes for five days a week. In Noble County we offer: full day classes for five days a week through our partnership with Noble learning Center, and six hour classes for four days a week and seven hour classes for five days a week. In Monroe County we offer seven hour classes for five days a week. \ \ GMN Early Head Start offers center-based services to children age birth to three years in Noble County through a partnership with Noble Learning Center. EHS also offers home-based services to children age birth to three years and their families, and pregnant women in Guernsey, Noble and Monroe counties in Ohio. A Parent Educator visits in the home one time a week and works with the parent to help build on his/her strengths and skills to meet the needs of the child. \ \ GMN HS has two sites in Cambridge,(Beech Grove and Beatty), one in Caldwell, (Caldwell HS), a partnership with Noble Learning Center in Caldwell, a site in Woodsfield, and a site in Sardis. \ \ GMN EHS has one site in Cambridge, (Beech Grove), a partnership with Noble Learning Center in Caldwell, and a site in Woodsfield. They also have a home-based partnership with Noble County Health Department in Caldwell.
